Government to create company to manage sports infrastructures
The Angolan government is to create a public company that will manage the sports infrastructures across the country, said the minister of Youth and Sports, Gonçalves Muandumba.
This was said during a press conference held at National Stadium 11 de Novembro in Luanda, aimed at briefing the press about the Angolan government’s intention to transfer the management of the new stadia to public entities.
“The management of the stadia constitutes a government’s top concern. We have guidelines expressly given by the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, now we have to implement them”, he explained.
The minister of Youth and Sports also stated that a commission is already been engaged in the emergence of the referred company, whose members have already shared experience in other African and European countries.
According to him, the management will also cover the Citadel National Stadium and other fields of support rehabilitated to host the continental football party. (…)
